The Flowered Press Workshop at the La Grua Center in Stonington

Join us for this two-hour workshop with Marguerite Alpert of The Flowered Press and take a closer look at nature in a new way. This is a fun, creative, and informative workshop.

During the first hour you will learn techniques for how to press fresh flowers using a flower press. Marguerite will share her plant knowledge and years of experience about this process.

For the second hour you will create an original pressed plant design with pressed and dried plant material from Marguerite’s gardens. She will guide you with ways to design and glue the plant material. You will be delighted with the beauty of the art piece you create.

Flower presses, fresh flowers and all other materials will be provided. Start dreaming of your design ideas! If you have a favorite flower you would like to press, please bring it along.
