Children’s Summer on Stage: Sleeping Beauty: Session One at The Garde

July 15 – July 20 Summer on Stage is an unforgettable week-long summer theater experience at the Garde Arts Center with the Missoula Children’s Theatre! Up to 60 students will rehearse for the whole week and attend a variety of workshops, then put on two performances of an original musical with the Missoula Children’s Theater, the nation’s largest touring children’s theater.  Participants will learn about many facets of theater giving them skills in presentation, confidence, self-expression and knowledge of related technical elements such as stage make-up, sound, and lighting. Poet Laureate Ira Joe Fisher, is holding a workshop twice a month on first and third Sundays, 1:30 to 3:30. Please register for either Group A (first Sunday) or Group B (third Sunday), but not both. Each poet should arrive with one poem in hand for that day. It will be read and discussed with urged revision (if necessary). The atmosphere is gentle, tactful, encouraging and inspiring. You will leave with ideas and a good, creative feeling. For more information
