A Talk on the Geopolitical Climate in Europe with Dr. Olena Lennon at Essex Library

Every person’s life story is unique. Have you ever wanted to document parts of your life story or write about your personal experiences? Gain knowledge on the foundational elements and skills required to craft a memoir or auto-biography with a four-part writing series led by Award-winning novelist Susan Strecker at Essex Library. Strecker will instruct participants on how to develop the language, structure, dialogue and description necessary to craft a compelling piece of writing.

Week One: The first session, Feb. 20, will explore the first six of thirteen steps to write a memoir.
Week Two: The second session, Feb. 27, will explore steps seven of thirteen steps to write a memoir.
Week Three: The third session, March 6, will offer participants an opportunity to share their work.
Week Four: The fourth, and last, session, March 13, will focus on the post-writing process and publishing options.

Participants are encouraged to bring their personal writing devices such as a laptop, or pen and paper, with them to each workshop. Chromebooks are available for loan through the Essex Library.
