We’re thrilled to be hosting Terry Hayes, author of the #1 global bestseller I Am Pilgrim at The UNITED Theatre for his much anticipated second novel, The Year of the Locust. Terry will in conversation with Rick Koster, author of Gris-Gris Gumbo. This event is three days before the book officially comes out and event attendees get exclusive early access to the book! Tickets for the event are $38. Tickets include a signed, personalized copy of The Year of the Locust.
Following the event, Terry will introduce a special screening of Mad Max 2 – Road Warrior.* Tickets to the movie will be sold separately.
*A young Terry Hayes, who was a journalist, political reporter, and then producer of Australia’s top-rated morning radio show stumbled into the job of writing the novelization of the movie Mad Max. The producers loved what he did so much, they hired him to write the sequel thus launching his screenwriting career.
