Posters from the Odesa City Letters Project at Connecticut College

January 21 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

January 21 through March 7, 2025

From the Cooper Union Show:

“Since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Odesa City Letters project has turned into a charitable poster studio. They create posters originating in traditional Ukrainian graphics and typography in the name of courage, collecting funds to support Ukraine’s defenders. So far, they have created hundreds of posters, many exhibitions and other cultural events that has helped raise funds for much-needed equipment for Ukrainian soldiers.

Posters by the Odesa City Letters project illustrate the cultural, spiritual, and political words of the leaders of the Ukrainian nation and honor the traditional masters of Ukrainian graphics. Their works of art have been used during numerous rallies and demonstrations in the name of Ukraine. They reveal the image of a brave and cultured country, which is now in the eye of millions of admirers all over the world.

The Odesa City Letters project wants the Ukrainian courage that they see to also go hand in hand with the huge cultural heritage of their country.”
