Summer Theater Camp: Jack and the Beanstalk at Norwich Arts Center
Norwalk Arts Center 22 E. Main Street, NorwalkJune 24-29, 2024 This week-long intensive camp is for students of all abilities and skill levels. We are grateful to have the opportunity to partner with Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT)! MCT is the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre. MCT has been touring extensively for more than 40 years now from Montana to Japan, and will visit nearly 1,200 communities this year with up to 44 teams of Tour Actor/Directors. MCT's tour team arrives in a given town with a set, lights, costumes, props and make-up, everything it takes to put on a play...except the cast. The show is rehearsed throughout the week and two public performances are presented on Friday & Saturday. All MCT shows are original adaptations of classic children’s stories and fairytales . . . a twist on the classic stories that you know and love. Also included in the residency are three enrichment workshops presented by the Tour Actor/Directors and special sessions directed by NAC staff. Open to grades 1 - 12 For more information
Ronald N. Sherr at Seven Bridges in Greenwich
Seven Bridges 111 N. Porchuck Rd., GreenwichThrough November 2025 Seven Bridges is honored to feature paintings by Ronald Sherr on generous loan from the Sherr Family and private collectors. Ron had an illustrious career in fine art portraiture, his most notable portraits of public figures include former Presidents George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush, as well as General Colin Powell, and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. This exhibit features selected works from his personal painting and drawing collection spanning his mature career, from the mid-1970’s well into the 2000’s.
