Kayak Kelp Harvest Tour in Rhode Island

Come harvest sugar kelp via kayak and visit an oyster farm. This guided 2 hour tour will offer kayaks and gear to 8 participants. We will visit a kelp and oyster farm and learn about the operation as well as get a chance to harvest kelp to bring home. We will also provide an overview on cooking with kelp to help you on your way to being a repeat kelp customer. $200/pp for this one day only event. Tours leave at 10:00 and 12:30PM out of Portsmouth Rhode Island.

Stonington Kelp Co is a regenerative ocean farm owned and operated by Suzie Flores and her husband Jay Douglas. We are dedicated to sustainably growing native sugar kelp that is great for the environment and the community. We are always looking for new ways to partner with the community through education and outreach.
