Exhibit: Keeping Stamford Healthy: The History of Medical Practice from 1641-1970

Now through May 31, 2024:

Stamford History Center presents Keeping Stamford Healthy: The History of Medical Practice in Stamford from 1641-1970 opening September 28th from 6-8pm! Learn about the history and beginnings of Stamford Hospital, and local pharmacies of yesteryear along with commemorating notable medical professionals like Dr. Ursula Joyce Yerwood, the first female African American Physician in Fairfield County. You will also have the opportunity to view many interesting medical artifacts. This exhibit runs through June 2024. We hope to see you at SHC! General admission is $15 and $10 for SHC members.
