Our dear elder brother, James Baldwin, was born 2 August 1924. In this year of 2024, during the month of August, we celebrate and honor James Baldwin in what would be his centennial birthday. Happy Birthday, Mr. Baldwin!
To honor Mr. Baldwin, we thoughtfully and creatively set out to celebrate the many aspects of his life by highlighting who he was as a proud gay Black man, an activist, a mentor, and, of course, as a writer. We hope you’ll celebrate with us at one or all of the events that we have planned for the month of August.
