Friday Night Folk at All Souls joyfully supports social and environmental justice by bringing live traditional, contemporary and multicultural folk music to the larger community in a welcoming and accessible performance space.
Bards of Gungywamp (BOG) This group has been recommended by our friends! BOG formed several years ago to play Irish music for a St. Patricks day gig. They then kept digging deeper into folk styles like Shanties, Bluegrass and Old Time, as well as composing their own songs about the life and history of our area. They have traveled the hills and valleys of Old New England, bringing their tunes to Irish Pubs, Renn Faires, Festivals, Farm Markets and more. BOG draws on their namesake to tell stories of life in New England, weaving their modern sound with tradition and history, such as that of the prehistoric stone site Gungywamp. They use a variety of traditional instruments to blend a unique sound of old and new.
