City Nature Challenge 2024: Hartford + New Haven Counties: Biodiversity Observations
April 26 - April 29
Let’s share the biodiversity of central CT with the world! Search for wild plants, animals, and other creatures between April 26th and April 29 to see how many species you can find within the boundaries of Hartford and New Haven Counties, Connecticut – from our parks and wildlife areas, to our backyards and city streets.
Anyone can participate – all you need is a smartphone and the iNaturalist app! Just make observations within the project boundaries, and they will automatically be added to this project. You can join the project to receive updates and learn about events near you!
Cities and counties across the world will be participating in the City Nature Challenge on the same weekend, in a friendly competition to see who can make the most observations and ID the most different species.
