Cato Corner Farm: Pasture Walk

Join us this Saturday for a Pasture Walk and a Day at Cato Corner!
One of our favorite traditions is welcoming the community to our farm and sharing a behind-the-scenes look at how everything works here at Cato Corner.
We’ll kick off the day at 10:00 AM with a pasture walk through our preserved farmland, led by our farm manager, Dave. You’ll learn about what our cows eat, the importance of pasture regeneration, and what daily life looks like for a dairy cow at Cato Corner.
Next, at 11:15 AM we’ll take you to look into our cheesemaking room, where owner and cheesemaker Mark Gillman will walk you through the entire cheesemaking process – from the moment our cows are milked to the final aging of the cheese.
To wrap up, we’ll guide you through a tasting of our cheeses, explaining the aging transforms the varieties and pairing the cheese with local delicacies.
A second pasture walk will kick off at 12:30 pm for round two of our farm day!
