Foundation: Chenin Blanc: Wine Tasting Class with Spencer and Lynn

Spencer and Lynn 17 West Main Street, Mystic

Over the past four years we have pushed in many different directions, in order to bring an entirely new perspective on wine for our local area. It is easy to forget the building blocks of wine education, and for this spring we are returning to them. Each class will focus on a specific variety, and explore where worldwide it is grown and vinified. We will start with the "International Varieties" so that we can showcase grapes that are almost common all over the world. Variation is what makes wine interesting so we will show you as many different styles of the same grape as we can. We thank all of our new attendees to our classes for reminding us that we need to get back to building a foundation. Foundation: Chenin Blanc We love Chenin Blanc. The powerhouse white grape of the Loire Valley is one of the more unique varieties in that it can be made in a multitude of different styles. Kathryn & David plan on showcasing Chenin Blanc in every delicious form that we can get our hands on. This class will be held in Mystic For more information

The Rainbow Beard Show at Possible Futures

Possible Futures 318 Edgewood Avenue, New Haven, CT

We're so excited to host The Rainbow Beard Show on June 15th at 2pm! In their own words: "'The Rainbow Beard Show' is an interactive experience hosted by Ricky Rainbow Beard that features puppets, games, stories, songs, and special guests through a comedic lens. Each new show is about a deep and simple theme and is written with kids ages 4-8 (and the grownups in their neighborhood) in mind. Together, we investigate our collective human experience through inquiry and play. In May/June 2024 we will be exploring LANGUAGES and the different forms they take such as spoken, written, body language, and images (i.e. emojis). Our guests include: a storyteller, a multilingual community organizer, and even a lawyer! We will ask questions such as: - What does it mean when we say language? - Which types of language do you use in your everyday life? - How can we speak each other’s languages? Remember to wear your dancing pants." For more information
