4th of July Parade and Concert on the Green in Madison
Madison Town Green Route 1, MadisonThe Town of Madison's Annual Independence Day Parade will be held on July 4, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The parade will proceed west on Boston Post Road (Route 1) from Samson Rock Drive to the West Wharf Road and will end in the Surf Club. The parade will require road closures. Residents and motorists should expect traffic delays along the parade route between 9:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. For more information Thursday, July 4, 2024 Reserving Space: Chairs may only be placed on the green after 1 p.m. for reserving your space due to the parade and concert taking place on the same day. 6:00 p.m. Opening act 7:00 p.m. Wallingford Symphony Orchestra Visit Madison Cultural Arts for details.
Ramblin’ Dan Stevens: 4th of July at The Old Lyme Inn
Old Lyme Inn 85 Lyme St, Old LymeRamblin' Dan Stevens performs an eclectic mix of traditional fingerstyle blues, americana and originals. He has entertained audiences throughout the US, Germany, UK, Canada and Virgin Islands. Of special interest is his unique style of "bottleneck" slide playing popularized by early Mississippi Delta Bluesmen including his use of a homemade, three stringed "Cigar Box Guitar" and one stringed "Diddly Bow", both primitive blues instruments.As a finalist in the International Blues Challenge on Beale St. in Memphis TN and protege of the legendary folk/blues icon, Dave Van Ronk, Dan has been lauded for his ability as a raconteur and for the authenticity of his approach gained by many years on the road as a traveling blues musician. A participant in the Music Under New York Program, he plays on a regular basis in the New York City Subway System in locations such as Times Square and Grand Central Terminal. For more information
Fall River’s Waterfront Fourth of July Celebration
Norton City Pier 600 Davol St, Fall River, MAJoin the City of Fall River as they celebrate the Fourth of July! With food trucks and live entertainment at Heritage State Park, Senator Thomas Norton City Pier, and Bicentennial Park. There will also be airbrush tattoos and a beer garden at City Pier! Free admission - Fireworks start at 9PM! Norton City Pier entertainment will begin at 6:15pm and Bicentennial Park live entertainment will begin at 7pm.
