Sean Rowe from Troy, New York is an incredible songwriter with a bellowing voice that makes its presence felt every time he performs. It’s folk music with substance that comes through in songs like “To Leave Something Behind”, “Madman” and “Little Death”. Local musician Brian Dolzani will be opening the show, and if you’re a fan of the art of songwriting, then make sure you attend.

Everyone knows a Weird Al Yankovic song whether it’s the parody hits “My Bologna,” “Eat It,” “Like A Surgeon,” “Fat,” “Bedrock Anthem,” “Amish Paradise,” “White & Nerdy,” or the original tune “Dare to Be Stupid.” He also puts on an incredible live show. The show is listed as sold out, but there are a bunch of resale tickets available on the page for the show located on Foxwoods’ website at foxwoods.com.

It’s a fact that Les Claypool is one of the best bass players alive, and together with guitarist Larry “Ler” LaLonde and new drummer John Hoffman, Primus is one of the best live bands on the planet. They’re going to be bringing their “Onward & Upward Summer Tour” to “The Park City”, and whoever attends is bound to hear tunes like “My Name Is Mud,” “Jerry Was A Race Car,” “Tommy The Cat,”“Too Many Puppies,” among others. MonoNeon, who is an amazing bassist in his own right, will be kicking the night off.

There are a few shows happening this year where the bill is absolutely stacked, and this is definitely one of them. As part of the “Charm & Decadence Tour”, Athens, Georgia alt-country act Drive-By Truckers are coming to New Haven with Providence indie rockers Deer Tick joining them. The opener shouldn’t be overlooked either with Nashville rock & rollers Thelma and the Sleaze.

Another amazing show is happening the following night with the Australian psychedelic garage rock act King Gizzard & the Wizard Lizard. These guys are always incredible live, but this show will be taken to another level with New York City’s Orchestra of St. Luke’s joining them on stage. DJ Crenshaw will be setting the mood as the opening act.
