Agree Record Should be Made Straight on Candidate for Old Lyme Tax Collector

To Eileen and John Mueller, regarding their Letter to the Editor of Oct. 24, 2023:

I made no personal attack on Ms. Reemsnyder and I accurately quoted Governor Lamont’s press release calling for her resignation as the chair of the Connecticut Port Authority. The reason behind the governor’s demand is that she inappropriately used public monies.

That is the truth. It is sad that you need to make a personal attack about me by calling my letter “reprehensible.”

I agree that the record should be made straight. Ms. Reemsnyder has mismanaged public monies and was forced to resign by our Democrat governor while Ms. Thompson has had an unblemished career.
