RE: Israel-Hamas War Statement
Subject: Israel-Hamas War Statement

We the Concerned Clergy Coalition of Stamford, Connecticut lift up our voices to honor the common humanity of our Jewish and Palestinian brothers and sisters.

We are horrified by the violent and murderous acts perpetrated on the people of Israel on October 7th by Hamas. We grieve with our Jewish neighbors and friends as they mourn their lost loved ones taken from them in the most barbarous way. We cry with our Palestinian neighbors as they mourn the lives of innocent women, men and children killed in the bombing of Gaza. And we share their anxiety as the blockade and threat of invasion exasperate an already perilous humanitarian crisis.

We lift up our voices against anti Palestinian sentiments and the bankrupt Islamophobia masquerading as patriotism. We lift up our voices against the rise of antisemitism, blatant, hidden or otherwise.

In this season of fear and global anxiety, we choose faith, hope and love as we call upon you our community to honor with dignity the bond of our common humanity.

In Solidarity with All,

The Concerned Clergy Coalition!
