Final Candidate Debates Wrap up Before Election Day

Just a few more debates are happening this week as Election Day next Tuesday draws closer. The final gubernatorial debate will be Tuesday and there are several local debates hosted by chapters of the League of Women Voters on Tuesday and Wednesday. 


Gubernatorial Debate

Who: Gov. Ned Lamont, Bob Stefanowski and Rob Hotaling

When: Tuesday, Nov. 1, 7 to 9 p.m.

State Senate and House Debates (Redding)

When:  Tuesday, Nov. 1, 7 to 9 p.m.

Where: Redding Community Center, 37 Lonetown Road, Redding

Host: The League of Women Voters of Redding

Who: Democrat Ceci Maher and Republican Toni Boucher
State Senate District 26 (Redding, Bethel, New Canaan, Ridgefield, Weston, Westport, Wilton)

Who: Democratic incumbent Anne Hughes and Republican Alexander Burns
State House District 135 (Redding, Easton, Weston)

When:  Tuesday, Nov. 1, 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Where: Guilford Community Center, 32 Church Street, Guilford

Who, 7 p.m: Democratic incumbent Christine Cohen and Republican Paul Crisci
State Senate District 12 (Branford, Durham, Guilford, Killingworth, Madison, North Branford)

Who, 8 p.m: Democrat Moira Rader and Republican Richard DiNardo
State House District 98 (Branford, Guilford)


State Senate and House Debates (Westport)

When:  Wednesday, Nov. 2, 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Where: The Westport Library (or Zoom), 20 Jesup Road, Westport

Host: The League of Women Voters of Westport

Who: Democrat Ceci Maher and Republican Toni Boucher
State Senate District 26 (Redding, Bethel, New Canaan, Ridgefield, Weston, Westport, Wilton)

Who: Democrat incumbent Jonathan Steinberg and Republican Alma Sarelli
State House District 136 (Westport)

Who: Democrat Dominique Johson and Republican Nicole Hampton
State House District 143 (Norwalk, Westport, Wilton)

Who: Judge of Probate candidate Lisa Wexler will make a short presentation
