High Bid $4.75 Million, But Reserve Not Met in Auction of Old Lyme Shopping Center

OLD LYME — At $4.75 million, the highest bid did not meet the reserve in the three-day auction of the Old Lyme Shopping Center that ended Thursday afternoon. The starting bid was $1.5 million. 

The property is owned by 19 Halls Road LLC of Yonkers, New York, with Anna Marchetti listed as principal and Rebecca N. Marchetti as agent. Anna Marchetti was not available to speak about the auction prior to publication.

Real estate agents at the Northeast Private Client Group did not return calls from CT Examiner after the auction.

The auction was conducted by Ten-X, whose agent for the auction, Kevin Grace, did not return calls from CT Examiner. 

The two buildings on the 5.22-acre site house the Hideaway Restaurant & Pub, Andy’s Deli, an office of Yale New Haven Health, and a number of small businesses.

According to town records, the property is assessed at $2.7 million and appraised at $3.96 million. 

The property last sold for $3.575 million on June 10, 2015.
