To the Editor:
Like you, we are sensitive to the fact that as well as being a catastrophic event to Ukrainians, Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine marks a pivotal moment in global geopolitics.
It so happens that I publish an annual page-a-day calendar in which the 2022 entry for February 25th marks a parallel event that took place 84 years ago this date when Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia. This “coincidence” of European dictatorial powers invading neutral countries to further territorial ambitions should (in my opinion) be more widely recognized.
