Re (“From 5% in Hartford to 61% in Guilford — Voter Turnout By the Numbers,” Nov. 4)

It’s concerning for sure, that turnout in New London was barely higher than it was for the August referendum on the police staffing mandate. Interestingly, results from this year’s local elections sent opposite messages, one overturning a City Council action and the other maintaining status quo in its makeup. The one consistency was that incumbent John Satti, the lone dissenter when Council rescinded the 80 officer mandate, was Tuesday’s high vote getter.
