ROB ZOMBIE’S EXHIBITION “WHAT LURKS ON CHANNEL X?”Morrison Gallery in Kent

Born in 1965 in Haverhill, MA, Rob Zombie began his art training by watching a local television show called The Nature World of Captain Bob, a Saturday morning art instruction program hosted by Bob Cottle. From there on, the art of Marvel Comics, Basil Gogos and Frank Frazetta took over until Zombie landed a scholarship to Parsons school of design. After a quick one-and-a-half-year run at Parsons, Zombie left to pursue music and movies, putting down his brushes for the next 20 years: “I loved painting, but school made me hate it. So I stopped, but in the past 10 years I rediscovered my love of it once again,” states Zombie.
