Forest of Here: Jeila Gueramian at Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton

April 18, 2026 – March 28, 2027
Forest of Here: Jeila Gueramian is a textile-focused installation that offers a fully immersive experience integrating kinetic, sound, and light elements. The site-specific exhibition is composed of a symphony of materials, including fiber works, found objects, and upcycled components. As visitors explore, they are encouraged to discover the intricate details and tactile elements that animate the space, creating an activated environment and blurring the line between the organic and the technological, the familiar and the fantastical. Forest of Here will prompt visitors to reflect on the interconnectedness of all things and the beauty found in the fusion of art, nature, and technology.
Jeila Gueramian is a multidisciplinary artist best known for her whimsical installations that merge repurposed and handmade textiles with technology. Born in Los Angeles, CA, she earned her BFA from Otis Parsons School of Design in 1991. After graduating, Gueramian worked in art departments and costume design before turning to create custom props, plush sculptures, puppets, and fantastical costumes. In 2011, she shifted her focus to fine art through a six-month residency at The Wassaic Project. Since then, Gueramian has presented immersive installations at institutions including Sattsgalerie (Stuttgart, Germany); Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art (AR); Columbus Museum of Art (OH); Children’s Museum of the Arts (NYC); and Katonah Museum of Art (NY). She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY and Wassaic, NY.
This exhibition is made possible by support from the Coby Foundation.
