Eastern Connecticut Symphony Chorus Announces Auditions

September 4th, 11th, and 18th 2024
The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Chorus (ECSC) is currently seeking singers! Please
consider joining us for an exciting 2024-2025 season. Auditions will be held on Wednesday,
September 4th, 11th, and 18th 2024 at Harkness Chapel on the campus of Connecticut College.
The ECSC under the great direction of Dr. Daniel McDavitt offers singers a unique opportunity
to join a musical enterprise of symphonic proportion in Southeastern Connecticut. We sing
some of the most monumental and inspiring music ever written, from requiems, masses,
symphonies, and beyond. Individuals selected for a position in the chorus will have the fortune
of performing with the Eastern CT Symphony Orchestra throughout the season.
Auditions are by appointment only and will begin at 6:15 pm. Participants are expected to
prepare a song of their own choice (a hymn, folk song, patriotic song, or any song that you know
well). Those auditioning will also be asked to vocalize. Participants should bring an extra copy of
their chosen song, as an accompanist will be provided.
