Concert on the Green: Sean Nelson’s New London Big Band in Stonington

Join us on the Stonington Commons Green this Friday, July 18 at 6pm for a fun (and free!) night of live music with Sean Nelson’s New London Big Band. They’ll be playing some incredible big band tunes, including tracks from their brand-new album Don’t Stop Now: The Lost Music of Thad Jones. Bring a blanket, some friends, and enjoy a summer evening filled with great music and good vibes.

Made up of 17 of the finest musicians in New England, the New London Big Band is a “full bodied and polished brassy big band” (Jazz Weekly). Formed in 2016, they play monthly to sold out crowds at the Social Bar + Kitchen in New London, where they attract professional and amateur dancers from near and far.
