Annual Fall Book Sale at the Essex Library

Autumn is here and it’s time for our Annual Fall Book Sale!  Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 18, from 9-4.  Monday, October 20st from 9-6 is the popular Bag of Books sale, where the first bag you fill is $10.00, and the second is $5.00. The library will be transformed into a bookstore, where all of the items are not only displayed by category, but available at truly bargain basement prices.  Hardbacks will be $3.00, or two for $5.00.  Softcover books are $2.00. This includes bestsellers, gorgeous art coffe table and cookbooks, fiction, mysteries, biographies, books on history, maritime, science and many many more.  It’s an opportunity to stock up!

This year, we have a more extensive collection of childrens and young adult books than we have had in many years.  They are priced individually, ranging from .50 cents to $3.00.  They will be displayed in the atrium are just as you enter the library so they will be easy to find.

We are grateful for the donations we receive in very good and excellent condition, which enable us to provide a very high quality booksale, proceeds of which are used to supplement library resources and programs.

Certain special books are available and will be priced separately.  We accept cash and personal checks.
