A Very Special Evening at Mystic Aquarium: Hope in the Water: Film, Discussion and Sustainable Seafood Reception

$186Join us at the Mystic Aquarium to celebrate the launch of Hope in the Water, a new PBS series exploring ocean health, along with solutions for maintaining a healthy ecosystem in our waters.
Brought to you by Mystic Aquarium in partnership with The Shipwright’s Daughter, Fed by Blue and PBS, this evening will feature a 20-minute viewing of the docuseries in an immersive environment among the aquarium fish. Following the screening, there will be a live panel discussion moderated by Boston Globe reporter Alexa Gagosz. The discussion will focus on the challenges and successes of sustainable seafood, featuring insights from James Beard Award-winning chef, David Standridge, Fed by Blue Executive Director Jennifer Bushman, Eating with the Ecosystem Executive Director Kate Masury, and David Cochran, Senior Director of Fish & Invertebrates at Mystic Aquarium.
After the screening, join us for a celebration and reception featuring some of Mystic’s top culinary talents, including David Standridge, Renee Touponce, Adam Young, and Johan Jensen. These chefs will showcase their exceptional skills with a vibrant array of sustainable seafood dishes, illustrating how mindful food choices can significantly impact our environment. The reception will take place alfresco in the aquarium courtyard, where guests can view Mystic’s beloved pod of beluga whales. Enjoy incredibly sourced seafood, complemented by selections from our open bar, provided by Grey Sail Brewery, St. Supéry Vineyards, and Veritable Spirits.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the vital research and outreach of Mystic Aquarium and Eating with the Ecosystem, helping to find creative solutions to preserve our coastal waters.
