Hadlyme Country Market co-owner Lisa Bakoledis was behind the counter on Tuesday serving up white and red pizzas for the first time to a lunchtime crowd at her popular shop at the turnoff to the Chester-Hadlyme Ferry.

She will be making fresh pies from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (to pickup by 6) leaning on a tomato sauce Bakoledis says was borrowed from her grandfather.

The new two-deck ventless pizza ovens in the 1905-era country store are set against a striking new mural backdrop by Tom Rose, a well-known decorative painter and owner of Black Whale Antiques.

May be an image of pizza and text that says 'Hadlyme Country Market Red Pizza's EAT "Ferry Rd" Mozzarella Cheese "Townie" Pepperoni "Joshuatown" Bacon and Fresh Tomato PIZZA! "Four Corners" Sausage and Roasted Red Peppers "Whalebone" Eggplant Parmesan with Pesto "Seventh Sister" Artichoke and Red Onion White Pizza's "Devil's Choice" Buffalo Chicken, Red Onion, Banana, Blue Cheese Peppers "Into the Woods" Pesto, Tomato, and Parmesan Cheese "Hadlyme' Spicy Gyro Chicken, Tzatziki Sauce, Red Onion, Tomato, Sauce for Dipping Other Toppings: Bacon, Sausage, Pepperoni, Eggplant, Gyro Chicken, Artichokes, Olives, Onions, Tomato, Banana Peppers, Roasted Red Peppers'

No word on whether Bakoledis will spare any of her limited-availability corn relish for a special topping…
